Friends of mine were married at Imperio Hall last weekend and I must say, this was the worst wedding experience I have ever seen. There was only the owner and one waitress working for about 2 hours then the waitress went home and the owner bartended alone. No one cleaned tables off and after another 2 hours or so I got sick of looking at people's garbage and half-eaten food so I took it upon myself to get the only garbage can from the owner and clean the tables MYSELF. The late lunch was whole piglets (not pigs, piglets) with head, eyes, feet and possibly a tail - I didn't get close enough to look, being so disgusted at thist - that was carved and placed in aluminum pans to look like the original forms, with the heads placed snout-up at the head of the pans. I lost all appetite I had once I heard this was what was being served and to make it worse, a kid took one of the heads and carried it around on a plate saying, "kiss him! kiss him!" to the guests. The piglets were still there when I left at 1am. The owner was a smarmy jerk who gave myself and the best man problems when we tried to clean up, he snapped at us about wanting to take the only garbage can to clean the tables and then again about where we put the garbage bags. He didn't even thank us for cleaning up! He also tried to screw over my friends by first agreeing to a $400 rental fee for the hall then 3 weeks before the wedding, upped it to $1000! Not to mention threatening them with court action because they wanted a cocktail reception and he only heard "dinner." They paid $2800 for the piddly amount of (unappetizing) food which might have been worth $500 had they done it themselves, and they should have. If you are considering renting this place, RUN! RUN FAR AWAY AND DO NOT LOOK BACK!
